JOB TITLE: Director DEPARTMENT: Commercial Production REPORTS TO: Executive Creative Director, Commercial Production SUMMARY A Director supports the Commercial Production Department by leading the creative and artistic efforts in the development, pre-production, production, and post-production phases. Within Aerial Canvas, they prioritize the client experience and marketing strategies. Directors must be able to extrapolate a client’s business philosophy, brand identity, and maintain its integrity within the narrative design process. A Director possesses strong storytelling and editorial capabilities and also has the ability to inspire and motivate the production crew and on-camera talent. They have a natural creative curiosity around the technical and artistic aspects of visual storytelling. They are self-motivated, passionate, and solution-minded. The Director is versatile and experienced with a variety of filmmaking focuses including commercial, documentary, and short film production. Directors own and manage productions from development to delivery and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial Production Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a brand guardian for Aerial Canvas and the client.
  • Stewards all phases of production including but not limited to consultation, development, pre-production, production & post-production.
  • Work with internal team members across multiple departments to ensure projects stay on task, within budget, and with content strategy on top of mind.
  • Provide supervision throughout the post-production process to ensure agreed upon creative direction is executed to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Does quality assurance and quality control before each phase of delivery and after each revision.
  • Performing production duties such as but not limited to the development, creative treatments, concept creation, storyboards, scripts, mood boards, shot lists, and setup schedules.
  • Cast talent and maintain a network of actors/actresses with support from the Producer.
  • Uphold client and vendor relationships through collaborative efforts.
  • Consult clients on creative opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to promote Aerial Canvas' brand.
  • Upholds professional standards of Aerial Canvas.
  • Contribute to the improvement of workflow processes, creative treatments, and product design.
  • Assists with training, mentoring, and coaching team members within the Blank Canvas Commercial Production Program (BCCPD).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor of Science of Bachelor of Arts from an accredited university in a field related to filmmaking, marketing, art, or creative production required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a director role preferred.
  • 1-3 years of digital-focused storytelling experience.
  • Experience as a full-service filmmaker preferred (director, cinematographer, producer, editor).
  • Fluency in the following cameras preferred: RED, Sony, Arri Alexa, Canon.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Experience with Davinci Resolve knowledge preferred.

Media Consultant


JOB TITLE: Media Consultant DEPARTMENT: Commercial Production REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development SUMMARY Aerial Canvas is hiring a seasoned Media Consultant whose primary function will be to drive direct sales for our Commercial Production Department. The right candidate will be highly motivated, competitive, and organized. They must be able to multitask, quickly pick up new concepts and projects, while maintaining an upbeat and positive relationship with prospective clients and team members from various departments. Producer


JOB TITLE: Producer DEPARTMENT: Commercial Production REPORTS TO: Executive Creative Director, Commercial Production

SUMMARY The Producer is responsible for bringing both the Director’s and Client’s vision to life by focusing on the ideation, production, and organization of the project. They oversee all levels of production from development and pre-production to post-production and final delivery. They assemble the production team, acquire proper permissions and permits, manage budgets, provide marketing and creative consultation, and assist in all capacities to ensure projects are stewarded to completion with exceptional quality. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail obsessive, and well-connected in the filmmaking industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing all phases of production including but not limited to consultation, fundraising, development, pre-production, production & post-production.
  • Supervise internal teams, client, and crew expectations while ensuring that content strategy is delivered in the final product.
  • Act as a brand guardian for Aerial Canvas and the client throughout the process.
  • Managing production administrative duties such as but not limited to risk assessments, creative decks, call sheets/schedules, logistics, location, travel, sourcing of production equipment rental, and/or music licensing.
  • Maintaining finances, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Coordinating and conducting talent casting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external strategy and creative teams to promote Aerial Canvas' brand.
  • Engages in B2B and B2C interactions and facilitates transactions.

Creative Specialist


JOB TITLE: Creative Specialist DEPARTMENT: Creative Specialists REPORTS TO: Manager, Creative Specialists REQUIRED

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to safely transport gear to and from shoot (Fuel and travel is covered by us)
  • Fast internet to upload photos and video to the Aerial Canvas online portal at the end of each workday OR come into the office at the end of each workday
  • Photographers must arrive at shoots on time and conduct themselves professionally. Uniform provided (branded t-shirt)
No editing required. Must conform to Aerial Canvas’ Media Standards. Applicants should be self-motivated, punctual, energetic and organized. Independent contractor photographers are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, fuel, and mileage. Flexible scheduling. Choose which areas you’d like to cover – all or some counties. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Refined photography, videography and drone skills
  • Professional etiquette and positive attitude is a must

You will be in charge of moving each lead through our sales process as well as helping to onboard and transition clients to our Project Management team. SUMMARY A Video Editor (VE) is responsible for making sure they are completing 2-3 projects a day - not only does the video editor have to be efficient but each editor is responsible for their quality control before delivering each project to our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit 2-3 videos a day.

SUMMARY A Video Editor (VE) is responsible for making sure they are completing 2-3 projects a day - not only does the video editor have to be efficient but each editor is responsible for their quality control before delivering each project to our clients. You will be making sure you are checking Tonomo for project updates and communicating with the Project Manager(s) and Administrative Department to ensure that all assets are approved for final delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit 2-3 videos a day.
  • Communicate with clients for music choice (if needed).
  • Collaborate with Operations & Project Management Department.
  • Move projects from in-progress to completed on both Tonomo & Monday.
  • Create and add animated text and motion graphics to branded videos.
  • Upload videos to Dropbox and Vimeo.
  • Occasionally upload videos to clients' websites and send out deliverables to the clients.

WORK HOURS This is a salary exempt position. A TAS is required to be in the office for 60% of their time or more. Minimum requirements average at 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Work hours are dependent on the needs of the business and the completion of projects. Some days may require more than 8 hours. Limited weekend availability may be required. Our standard operating hours are from Monday-Sunday, 9:00 am PST to 6:00 pm PST. WORKPLACE CULTURE We are a privately funded and owned start-up.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Sociology, Psychology, or similar.
  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar.
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates.
  • Experience working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring all races, genders, and ages.
  • Previous experience in developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and employer branding techniques.
